TELL WISCONSIN: WITHDRAW FROM THE U.S. CLIMATE ALLIANCE!

In 2019, Governor Tony Evers signed Wisconsin up for the U.S. Climate Alliance: a club of Democrat Governors committed to Paris Accord targets no matter what Washington, D.C. decides. Five years later, he became the first Midwest Governor to join the Alliance’s executive committee.

This isn’t a fringe idea anymore. It’s the same “net zero by 2050” agenda national Democrats are promising to bring back to Congress if voters hand them the majority this November, and Wisconsin is already living under a state-level version of it.

An independent study found that “commitment” costs Wisconsin $111 billion – roughly $23,400 out of every adult’s pocket in the state. And Governor Evers isn’t running for re-election in 2026, so he’ll never have to answer to Wisconsin voters for a dime of it.

We’re not asking Wisconsin to give up a clean lake or a healthy forest. We’re asking it to give up a Democrat Governors’ club built to impose an agenda Wisconsin voters never approved. Add your name below!

WHEREAS, the United States has withdrawn from both the Paris Climate Accord and the underlying 1992 UN Framework Convention on Climate Change; and

WHEREAS, the U.S. Climate Alliance, formed in 2017 to bind member states to Paris Accord emissions targets regardless of federal policy, continues to operate today and stands ready to expand its reach nationally should Congress adopt similar mandates; and

WHEREAS, Governor Evers has committed Wisconsin to these targets while declining to seek re-election in 2026, leaving Wisconsin taxpayers to inherit obligations from a Governor who will never answer to them at the ballot box; and

WHEREAS, the Alliance’s push toward mandatory electrification, wind and solar mandates, and a wholesale remake of the electric grid threatens the reliability of Wisconsin’s power supply and invites foreign-controlled supply chains into infrastructure Wisconsin families depend on every day;

THEREFORE, we the undersigned citizens of Wisconsin call upon Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin State Legislature to immediately and formally withdraw the State of Wisconsin from the U.S. Climate Alliance, and to commit no further state resources, staff time, or authority to its unelected, unaccountable climate agenda.
